How long have you been natural or transitioning?
My last relaxer was Oct 19, 2010. I transitioned for 9 months. My goal was a year but I just couldn’t take the maintenance of the 2 textures.
When did you BC or when do you plan on Bcing?- I BC’d July 14th, 2011. I wanted to do it the night before but I didn’t think I had a steady enough hand. So when my husband went to Great Clips the next day for his ‘summer hair cut’, there was a girl with locs working and I knew it was destiny!
A short regimen you can share?

I switch things up a lot. Usually, I cowash daily, shampoo & deep condition every other week. There are a bunch of conditioners I like. Recently, I’ve been using the Kinky Curly Curling Custard as my styler. To make sure I don’t get a lot of build up from the KCCC, I’ve been cowashing with Suave Professionals Invigorating Clean Conditioner in Rosemary + Mint. (I like this stuff better than WEN). I shake the excess water out of my hair before I get out of the shower. Then, I use Oyin’s Honey Hemp conditioner as a leave in. I rake it all over my head using my fingers. Next, I take about a bean size of the Kinky Curly Curling Custard and apply it in 3 sections. (back, top-right, top-left) Lastly, I add Sweet almond oil to get rid of the crunch. If it’s not raining, I stick my head out of my car window a few times on the way to work to dry my hair. I know that sounds nuts, but it dries and creates volume!
