Hey Curlies!
Although I am fully natural,I try to do my best in assisting all of you transitioners. I know it’s hard, I’ve been there too, and we all could use some guidance. This is why I have collaborated with Cheryl Simms, the author of “Your Natural Hair Journal” and the creator of Hairitage Hydration,to create a “transitioner’s kit” for you all. The giveaway will be open from May 28,2012,through June 8,2012. That gives you all a little over one week to enter and possibly win. Here are the details:
-There will be two winners and once they are chosen then have up to 48 hours to claim their prize or it will be given to the next participant.
-Each winner’s kit will include:
- A copy of Cheryl Simms book, “Your Natural Hair Journal“-a book to record your transition to natural hair.
- A satin pillowcase
- One product from the Hairitage Hydration line
- 2-3 sample of other great hair products
GOOD LUCK!!

Hello, I started this hair journey after my last relaxer which was December 10th, 2011. I am coming up on my 6month post relaxer. I am transitioning without a BC. I am enjoying this new journey. It has not been easy but I am so happy that there are websites like yours who help and guide us to maintain healthy hair.
I have been transitioning for about 5 months!
I've been transitioning for about 3 months now!
Starting my transition with a sew in…hope this doesn't do damage
I've been transitioning for about 7 months.
Transitioning is a hard yet rewarding journey. Sometimes I get frustrated when my wide toothed comb and my fingers can't make it through my hair, and when I notice breakage and shedding, but when my twist out is done an I receive compliments…it's all worth it.
I have been transitioning since the end of August. Its been a long frustrating lonely journey.
I am on my 10 month of transitioning trying to make it to 24 months and oh boy is it getting difficult lol. Hopefully i win and the kit helps me move along smooth-ly-er lol.
– I have been transitioning since October of last year (2011). I've always had super long hair so I just couldn't see my self doing the BC.
