Using the Curl Sponge on Short Natural Hair

Hey Curlies,

I came across this fairly new hair product a few months ago and today, it has really taken off. Allow me to introduce the “Curl Sponge ” a tool used to “create curls” in thick, afro-textured hair.

This tool used to be used mostly by men, but now women with short cuts are experimenting.

So how does it work exactly? Stylists and D.I.Yers use this tool by resting it on their hair and creating a circular motion with the Curl Sponge , which usually has small holes or waves sculpted in to the bottom.
