Hey Curlies,
Can you believe it? Today is ClassyCurlies.com’s 6th birthday!! Where did the time go, seriously?
On this day six years ago I wrote my very first blog post and many, many things have changed since then.
Initially I created this blog because I was curious about my natural hair texture and I loved to write, that’s it. But over the past six years it has evolved into something greater. It has become a platform for several other women to showcase their challenges, their successes and their hopes in their beauty and personal lives.
I have also changed over the years as a blogger. If you’ve been following for a while, I actually started this blog in college (actually, the year before I went to college). It’s a time where you’re really trying to figure things out, and you can definitely see the development over the years if you start at the beginning until now.
Sometimes I go back and read some of my old post and they sound so terrible (lol), but I don’t do much changing because that’s part of the growth – seeing your past.
Throughout it all, I balanced books, graduation, being a manager at my first big girl journalist job and that leads me to now.
I am so, so thankful for the loyalty of everyone who reads this blog. Everyone who has been reading and everyone who is going to read.
My goal isn’t numbers. I thrive off of the engagement I get with you all, and I try my very best to answer every single email and social media comment – because it’s important. I want to be accessible to you all – that’s my job.
Because of you (and just a little of my writing skill – but mostly you lol) ClassyCurlies.com has been:
