Hey, Curlies!

I’ve been on the prowl in search for healthy breakfast items, and at first, it was difficult. Everything I found had artificial sugar, high fructose corn syrup and a slew of other mystery ingredients. That’s when I turned to smoothie bowls.

To me, smoothie bowls are like when you find the perfect parking spot near the store entrance, or when you are able to stop the gas pump at $20 instead of $20.01. In short – they just make you feel good!

Two of my favorite smoothie bowls include a combination of fruits and veggies to power up my morning. Here’s how I create them:

  • Fresh blueberries
  • Chia seeds

How it’s Done

  • Add frozen mango and banana along with liquid of choice to blender. I use almond milk or water
  • Blend until smooth and pour into bowl

This bowl is packed with Vitamin C, fiber and some protein thanks to the chia seeds.

One of my second favorite bowls has a green base and it great for helping your body balance.

In case you were wondering, my smoothie bowls haven’t always looked as pretty, so don’t worry about the arrangement of the toppings. Just focus on feeding your body good ingredients.

Here’s a photo of my very first smoothie bowl some years ago:

All of the ingredients included in both of these smoothie bowls are great for growing and maintaining healthy hair.
