Hey, Curlies!

As the weather begins to get cooler, I’m making sure to give my hair the TLC it needs. On this particular wash day, I was sure to cleanse and deep condition my hair to keep it soft and moisturized throughout the week.

I started off using a homemade shampoo with Castile soap and essential oils (don’t worry, I’ll share the recipe soon). From there I deep conditioned with Make It Classy’s Loyal Leah Hair Mask.

When I cleansed my hair with the shampoo, my hair was almost “squeaky” clean so I needed to replenish the good oils into my strands. This do-it-yourself hair mask is super easy to make and made my hair feel like heaven!

As you can see, it also does an amazing job of defining your curls. I apply and then put a shower cap on to lock in the moisture for 15 minutes before rinsing. Here is the “after” photo.

One of the biggest questions I get about this mask: “Is it like the Aztec clay?”

There are different types of clay and the clay used in the Aztec brand is bentonite clay. Make It Classy’s hair mask has a base of rhassoul clay – so they’re different.

In fact, you can use it for both your hair and face. If you’re looking to try it out, check it out here.
